Standing
in the Rain: Humanism in Action The following work
was inspired by an event Marc witnessed in a physician's private
clinic. This piece was awarded honorable mention in the Arnold P. Gold
Foundation's annual National Humanism-in-Medicine Essay Contest.
It was published in the April 2004 edition of the Louisiana State
University Health Sciences Center publication, "Inside Info."
